HR 19

"For HR 19 I wanted to use materials that we already had on-hand. Like ceramic tiles I found on the beach in Italy and Australian opals we have collected over the years." – Holly Ryan
Musing on art and nature for HR 19, Holly was influenced by the need to protect our planet through conscious design and quality craftsmanship. Which is why she chose to incorporate existing materials into this latest collection.
As always, the solid 9ct gold and sterling silver is all recycled throughout HR 19 designs – an extension of the Holly Ryan Recycling Initiative. In addition to this, Holly has incorporated found ceramics into the collection and favoured the raw beauty of local gems.
Inspired by the vast landscape of Australia and our indigenous history, HR 19 showcases beautiful, one-off opals – stones that feature heavily in Aboriginal Dreamtime stories.

Photographed by Kitty Callaghan at a quintessentially Australian creek in Tweed Heads, the latest Holly Ryan campaign features HR muse and Gumbaynggirr / Bundjalung woman Shenay Carey.
No hair or makeup was used for the shoot and the striking imagery was then collaged by Kitty to create an exclusive run of fine art prints. In essence, then, HR19 is an ode to womanhood in general and the ultimate mother figure in particular: Nature.
